Pep Guardiola, the current manager of Manchester City and former coach of Barcelona, has expressed his belief that Lionel Messi will try everything to return to his former club. Speaking to ESPN Sports Center, Guardiola said he was sure that Messi and Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, would make an effort to bring the Argentine back to the Camp Nou. Guardiola also expressed his hope that Messi would receive a proper farewell when the time comes, stating that the player deserves to be celebrated as the best player in history. Guardiola is a Barcelona socio and said he hopes to witness Messi’s return and farewell as a fan of the club.
